.: Help for alchemy (skill)

Alchemy is the craft of combining herbs, reagents, and vessels into consumable preparations
— potions, salves, poultices, and draughts. Results range from basic healing to more exotic
effects. The skill is governed by Perception, since precision and careful observation
matter more than brute force.

━━━ Requirements ━━━

  Station:   An alchemy bench must be in the room with you.
             You'll find an alchemy bench in Pothole Coulee and most towns.
  Materials: Herbs, reagents, and an empty bottle for most brews — a
             glass vial or any other container with the bottle tag.
             Forage for herbs in the wild or buy from herbalists.

━━━ Using Consumables ━━━

Crafted potions and poultices are used with the drink command:

  drink poultice
  drink draught

They apply their effect immediately. Check inventory to see what you are carrying,
and conditions to see active effects.

━━━ Skill Progression ━━━

Alchemy improves through use. Each completed craft attempt (success or failure) has a
chance to advance the skill. Alchemy progresses faster per use than combat skills because
crafting opportunities are less frequent.

There is no trainer for alchemy — practice is the only teacher.

  craft list          Show all recipes, including alchemy ones, with status.
  craft       Begin crafting an alchemy recipe.
  drink         Consume a crafted potion or poultice.
  skills              Check your current alchemy skill level.
