.: Help for assess When creatures fall, their remains can be raised as undead companions through necromantic magic. Before attempting to reanimate a corpse, use assess to study it. ━━━ Usage ━━━ assess corpse name ━━━ What It Tells You ━━━ Assessment reveals the corpse's power level and the forms of undeath it can sustain. Weak remains can only support basic skeletons, while stronger corpses can sustain more powerful undead types — wraiths, golems, and other terrible forms. Your manifestation skill determines which undead types you can actually raise. A master necromancer can pull forth a flesh golem from a suitable corpse where a novice could only coax out a simple skeleton. ━━━ Important Notes ━━━ Assessment is purely informational — you don't need to assess a corpse before raising it. It's useful for understanding what's available and planning your ritual. Every undead you raise adds to your total companion count, so factor that into your decisions. ━━━ Skill Progression ━━━ Using assess trains your manifestation skill. The more corpses you study, the better you become at gauging their potential. See also: help manifestation, help companion
