Bartering is the trader's craft: reading a merchant, knowing what a
thing is truly worth, and walking away with more coin in your pouch.
It is governed by Charisma — presence and persuasion move prices,
not muscle.

  - Merchants charge you less when you buy and pay you better when
    you sell. The discount grows with your skill — a practiced
    trader keeps a noticeable slice of every deal.
  - appraise tells you what an item is worth before you commit to
    a trade.
  - offer lets you propose a trade to a merchant directly.

Bartering improves through use: buying, selling, and appraising all
teach it. There is no trainer — trade often and the knack comes.
