The chat command talks on the world-wide chat
channel — everyone online who has the channel on will hear you. This is the
general out-of-character channel. (The old broadcast
command is an alias for it.)

Turn any channel on or off with channels.

Usage: 

  chat anyone around?

  Output to everyone with chat on:

  (chat) Charles: anyone around?
