.: Help for drain The drain command is the vampire's signature lifesteal move. It strikes the target with raking claws, sapping their vitality and channeling it back into the vampire. A successful hit also leaves the target bleeding. Requirements: - Must have the LifeDrain species flag (vampire only) - Must be in active combat - Cannot be used if special move cooldown is active Usage: drain Attempt to drain your current combat target Mechanics: Damage: Moderate — lighter than a full melee strike; the lifesteal makes up the difference in sustained fights. Lifesteal: On a hit, the attacker heals for a fraction of damage dealt (governed by the DrainHealRatio balance knob, default 75%). Bleed: The target gains a Bleeding condition on hit, dealing ongoing damage each round. Cooldown: Shared with other special moves. Skill: Progresses Unarmed Combat Drain is most effective when the vampire is wounded — the combined bleed and heal make it excellent for sustained pressure. Unlike most beast moves, drain is not gated on a natural attack type; it is gated on the LifeDrain species flag, making it the vampire's exclusive ability.
