.: Help for enchanting (skill) Enchantments are not forged — they are grown. In Chrysalis, living mutations dwell within carefully crafted settings, binding themselves to your weapons and armor through long use and shared struggle. The skill is governed by Perception, since coaxing a mutation to bond with an item requires attunement and patience. ━━━ How Enchantments Work ━━━ An enchanted item claims a portion of your life force. You will see a dark section in your vital bars — that energy belongs to the enchantment now. As you adventure with the enchanted item, the bond deepens. You will know when it changes — the item itself will tell you. Removing an enchantment is possible at an enchanting circle, but the separation is not clean. Expect to feel weakened for a time. ━━━ Requirements ━━━ Station: An enchanting_circle must be in the room with you. Materials: Chrysalis settings and the item you wish to enchant. Stone Ward The weight and resilience of stone in your defense. Hawk's Perception Predator's vision that sees through the veil. Fortified Stance Roots that ground you against all shaking. Quickened Reflexes Arachnid speed that makes the world slow. Crystalline Form Gemstone hardness woven into your being. Apex Predator Primal hunting instinct made manifest. Unbreakable Bond A fusion of wills — item and bearer as one. ━━━ Skill Progression ━━━ Enchanting improves through use. Each completed enchantment attempt (success or failure) has a chance to advance the skill. Enchanting progresses faster per use than combat skills because enchanting opportunities are less frequent.
